The Fritillaria imperialis 'Double Gold' is a beautiful fritillary with a very fitting name. The Double Gold has nodding double yellow flowers with a stunning crown of green. This fritillary prefers autumn planting so should be planted from September - November, the plant will then produce its beautiful yellow blooms in spring where it can reach a maximum height of 100cm.

The Fritillaria imperialis 'Double Gold' is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
