The Allium schubertii 'Arctic Snow' is an unusual white allium bearing a striking resemblance to a firework. The Arctic Snow prefers to be planted late in the year from September to December, the plant will then bloom in early summer around June. Once fully grown the allium can reach a maximum height of 60cm.
The Allium schubertii 'Arctic Snow' does best when planted about 10cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny area of the garden. Taller alliums like this one can also benefit from shelter on one side to help prevent the tall flower spikes from being blown over.
